FC Bayern München's flawless start to the Bundesliga season continued with a commanding 3-0 victory against VfL Wolfsburg on a night when Eintracht Frankfurt dropped points for the first time in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

Jupp Heynckes' charges had sauntered to the Bundesliga summit and their stronghold never looked under threat after Bastian Schweinsteiger turned in Franck Ribéry's centre on 24 minutes. Mario Mandžukić came back to haunt his old employers after the break, converting two precise headers to take his league tally for the campaign to five.

Two points back are Eintracht, whose winning streak looked set to come to an abrupt end when they trailed Dortmund 2-0 inside 28 minutes. Undeterred, the hosts drew level six minutes after the restart courtesy of Stefan Aigner and Takashi Inui. Mario Götze restored the visitors' lead soon after, before Anderson Soares de Oliveira earned his side a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Farfán's first-half penalty set FC Schalke 04 on the way to a comfortable 3-0 success at home to 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Fortuna Düsseldorf 1895 ended a run of three goalless draws by seeing off SpVgg Greuther Fürth 2-0.
