Sporting Clube de Portugal have signed Spanish midfielder Oriol Rosell from Sporting Kansas City for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old FC Barcelona academy graduate has agreed a contract running until 2019. His arrival follows that of PFC Litex Lovech midfielder Simeon Slavchev and defender Paulo Oliveira from Vitória SC. The Lions will return to the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2014/15 under new coach Marco Silva.
Rosell joined Kansas City in 2012 from Barcelona having only played for the Spanish side's B team. He proved a success in the United States, helping his new club's American namesakes to the 2013 Major League Soccer title.
