Brugge beckons for Butina

NK Dinamo Zagreb keeper Tomislav Butina will join Belgian side Club Brugge KV at the end of the season.

Off to Belgium
After several weeks of negotiations, the 29-year-old passed a medical on Thursday and signed a contract which will see him play the final two games of the campaign with Croatian champions Dinamo before linking up with Brugge for pre-season training on 1 July.

'Very satisfied'
"I am very happy with the contract," said Butina, who has put pen to paper on a three-year deal. "I like the city and Brugge are a big, well-run club. I'm sad to be leaving Dinamo Zagreb but I'm a professional and have to get on with it."

Second choice
Butina is Croatia's second-choice keeper behind Stipe Pletikosa of HNK Hajduk Split, and has won nine caps. One of Dinamo's most experienced players, he was formerly captain until a row with the club's board saw the armband pass to Niko Kranjcar.
