Norway round-up: Rosenborg return to winning ways

Rosenborg BK secured an eighth win in nine games away to FK Bodø/Glimt, who slipped to fourth in the table.

Rosenborg BK preserved their eight-point lead at the top of the Tippeligaen with a comfortable 3-0 win away to FK Bodø/Glimt, who slipped from second to fourth in the table following the defeat.

Away win
Frode Johnsen gave the away side the lead midway through the first half, before Harald Brattbakk doubled the advantage five minutes into the second period. Bodø missed a great chance to get back into the game two minutes past the hour as Stig Johansen failed to convert a penalty, and a third goal in the final minute from Ståle Stensaas wrapped up Rosenborg's victory.

Fond farewell
Swedish winger Christian Wilhelmsson marked his final appearance for Stabæk IF by winning an 88th-minute penalty, successfully converted by Christian Holther for the only goal of the game against Vålerenga Fotball. Wilhelmsson is moving to Belgian First Division side RSC Anderlecht.

Late goal again
Odds BK conceded a late goal for the third consecutive match as Toni Kuivasto's strike three minutes into added time earned Viking FK a 1-1 draw. Bent Inge Johnson had given the home side the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Sogndal slip up
Sogndal IL slipped further off the pace at the top of the table following a 3-0 defeat away to SFK Lyn, with Jan Derek Sørensen scoring twice. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Bryne FK striker Kim Rune Hellesund took his total for the season to eight goals from nine games with a hat-trick in his side's 6-1 win against Tromsø IL. Hellesund, who joined Bryne last year from lower-division side IL Nest-Sotra, became the league's top scorer following his goals.

Molde win
At the bottom of the table, Aalesund FK remained without a league win this season, but Tor Hogne Aarøy's equaliser earned a 1-1 draw away to Lillestrøm SK. Monday night's game saw Molde FK defeat SK Brann 3-0 through goals from Anders Hasselgård, Daniel Berg Hestad and Hasselgård again, who scored his second following a fine run from Magne Hoseth.
