Le Crom lands at Lens

RC Lens have made the experienced Ronan Le Crom their second new goalkeeper this summer after the arrival of Croatia shot-stopper Vedran Runje.

The 32-year-old had been first-choice at ES Troyes Aube Champagne for the past two campaigns but could not stop the club being relegated from Ligue 1 in 2006/07. The AJ Auxerre product has agreed a two-year contract to be reunited with his first coach Guy Roux at Lens, who also signed the 31-year-old Runje from Beşiktaş JK last month. The arrival of Le Crom and Runje is likely to lead to the departure of 24-year-old Charles-Hubert Itandje. Lens face a UEFA Intertoto Cup tie against either FC Chornomorets Odesa or FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk for a place in UEFA Cup qualifying.
