FC Shakhtar Donetsk completed their third domestic double − and second under coach Mircea Lucescu − with a 2-0 victory against arch-rivals FC Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Cup final.

Following an even first half in which Shakhtar enjoyed the majority of possession, the Pitmen went ahead on 64 minutes when Darijo Srna fed Luiz Adriano, whose pass was dispatched into the far corner by Eduardo.

Eduardo's joy then turned to despair as he was sent off for a second booking, but after Dynamo striker Artem Milevskiy struck a post from a rebound off a free-kick, the numbers were evened up when Betão was dismissed with five minutes remaining.

Luiz Adriano made sure Shakhtar would win the trophy for the seventh time with the second goal late on, converting Alex Teixeira's right-wing cross. "This season belongs to us," said Srna, the Shakhtar captain. "We claimed the title, the cup and reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on the club's 75th anniversary. That's just incredible."
