Santos served at the helm of Andorran football from October 2013 to May 2019, and was linked to the association from its beginnings.

During his tenure, important football facilities were built in the independent principality situated in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, such as the National Stadium and the FAF Training Centre.

Prior to his election as FAF president, Santos spent 18 years carrying out various duties and activities as a prominent figure in the growth and development of football in Andorra.

Coaching career

Santos also coached FC Encamp, and was in charge of the team when they faced Russian outfit FC Zenit in a UEFA Cup tie in 2002/03.

He would later take on responsibilities at the FAF, working with both the Andorran football and futsal teams, while at the same time taking up the position of sports director at the Pas de la Casa-Encamp Sports Centre.

Santos spent eight years before his election as vice-president of the FAF. After his election, he set key objectives such as the development of youth football, women's football and football infrastructures in Andorra, and promoted a drive to increase the amount of football pitches for every club in the country.
