Germany coach Silvia Neid is looking ahead to the quarter-finals after watching her side secure their third successive victory at UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™. She also, however, faces an anxious wait on the fitness of key striker Inka Grings, who sustained an injury to her left knee when scoring the winning goal. Iceland coach Siggi Eyjólfsson, meanwhile, was disappointed his side failed to take something from their final Group B outing, but he did admit he was "proud" of his team's overall display at their first major finals.

Silvia Neid, Germany coach
I think we spent a lot of time in Iceland's half, which was encouraging. At times we didn't play too well, but I'm pleased with the game, overall. All our players were willing and ready to get involved in the game, but some of our build-up play could have been better. We won, which is the main thing, and have nine points so I can't ask any more in that sense. Ten goals for and one against isn't bad going. Now we'll have to assess the team this week and see who will play on Friday.

We thought we would give Birgit [Prinz] a half and Inka [Grings] a half but it didn't work out as we planned as Inka took a knock on her knee, so we replaced her as a precaution. We hope she will be fine for Friday's game as she is, obviously, a very important player, but we are a team with 22 players, there's not one star. We'll just look forward to the quarter-final now, and we'll see who we get. We don't have a wish list. We know we will have to do a lot preparation, whoever we're up against.

Martina Müller, Germany striker & Carlsberg Player of the Match
I'm a striker and would have loved to have scored but the main thing is to help the team win. I thought Inka did really well when she came on so, perhaps, if she had played until the end, she would have received this award and not me. The main thing is, though, that we are top of the group and we have won every game so far.

Siggi Eyjólfsson, Iceland coach
I think we played very well defensively and we made three very good chances in the game, so it's a little disappointing we couldn't take one. It was a good match for us, though, and definitely a great experience. We can take a lot from this game and the performance. We played well defensively in all three matches and, though we still need to work on attack, we are moving in the right direction.

Overall at the tournament, I could say we were unfortunate to come up against three sides in the top ten in the world, but I think the team can be proud of themselves after their three performances and I am certainly very proud of them.
