All change at Kuressaare
Monday 24 September 2001FC Kuressaare, currently bottom of the Estonian Meistriliiga and looking certainties for relegation, have sacked coach Zaur Tshilingarashvili and appointed Sergei Zamoglinoi in his place.
Dismal record
Kuressaare are already as good as relegated this season, despite there being five games left to play, having lost 21 out of 23 matches. Zamogilnoi was FC Lootus-Kohtla Järve's coach for three years until June when he left to be an advisor at JK Kalev Sillamae.
First step
Priit Penu, Kuressaare's president, explained that appointing a new coach was only the first step in reorganising the club for the future. He said: "The next steps will be stabilising the team, getting promoted back into the top flight and to move the team officially to Saaremaa Island."
Biggest island
Saaremaa is the biggest Island in Estonia and Kuressaare is its main town but all the players currently live and train in the capital, Tallinn, only returning to Kuressaare for home games. "This won't be something new, we just have to do the same thing that JK Tulevik Viljandi has done,'' added Penu.
Structures and systems
Both Tulevik and Kuressaare have grown out of Tallinn's FC Flora, and still use many of the same structures and systems. Tshilingarashvili will continue to train Kuressaare's twin team, JK Tervis Pärnu, and will also stay on as one of the youth trainers at Flora.
