Champions Matchday's final-four focus

FC Barcelona's Xavi Hernández headlines the semi-final edition of Champions Matchday, which also hears from Sami Khedira, Thomas Müller and Roman Weidenfeller.

And then there were four. The latest edition of Champions Matchday is all about the semi-finals.

Cover star Xavi Hernández of FC Barcelona speaks exclusively about his footballing philosophy, how leaving a legacy is as important as winning, and insists this generation of Blaugrana players have unfinished business.

His fellow midfielder, Real Madrid CF's Sami Khedira, talks frankly about the influence coach José Mourinho has had on him. "He told me to step back, play smarter, use my head," he said. "I play in a calmer, more subtle way than before. He has made me a strategist."

We chat to Borussia Dortmund No1 Roman Weidenfeller, who says keeping cool is key to success; enter the mystical world of FC Bayern München's Thomas Müller; and look at the Matthias Sammer effect on the Bavarians' incredible season.

Elsewhere, Champions Matchday highlights key areas to watch out for in the upcoming games, recalls five top substitutions of the current campaign, hears from Barça stars and studies the superlative form of Cristiano Ronaldo.

We also take an exclusive peek behind the scenes at clubs on UEFA Champions League nights; catch up with three-time European champion Jimmy Case; and ahead of the final, José Altafini remembers AC Milan's first European triumph at Wembley in May 1963.

All this, plus the experts' view on the semi-finals and much more.

Champions Matchday is available in digital versions on Apple Newsstand or Zinio, as well as in print, and you can follow the magazine on Twitter @ChampionsMag.
