Olisadebe out for Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos FC striker Emmanuel Olisadebe will be out of action until the end of the year after knee surgery.

Panathinaikos FC's Polish international striker Emmanuel Olisadebe will be out of action until the end of the year following knee surgery.

Problem with kneecap
The Greek club's doctor, Argyris Mitsou, said the Nigerian-born forward would be sidelined for between ten and 12 weeks. He underwent an arthroscopy on his knee this morning where doctors discovered a problem with the kneecap.

Misses Hungary date
Olisadebe will miss Panathinaikos's remaining UEFA Champions League group matches as well as Poland's final UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier away to Hungary. The 24-year-old played in Panathinaikos's 5-0 Group E defeat by Manchester United FC last week.
