Spain look to Luque

Iñaki Sáez has recalled RC Deportivo La Coruña striker Albert Luque for the final qualifier against Armenia.

Spain coach Iñaki Sáez has recalled RC Deportivo La Coruña striker Albert Luque for next week's decisive UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying match against Armenia.

Helguera back
Luque, who has the chance to win his third cap, replaces FC Barcelona's Xavi Hernández in the squad. Real Madrid CF's Iván Helguera, who missed the last qualifier against Ukraine, is also involved after shaking off a knee injury.

Must-win match
In order to win Group 6 and avoid the play-offs, Spain must beat Armenia on 11 October and hope that leaders Greece either draw or lose their final match against Northern Ireland on the same day. Spain lie in second place with 14 points, one behind the Greeks.

Spain squad
Casillas, Cañizares, Puyol, Salgado, Joaquín, Helguera, Marchena, Juanito, Vicente, Xabi Alonso, Albelda, Baraja, Valerón, Raúl González, Etxeberria, Torres, Reyes, Luque.
