FC Dynamo Kyiv have been handed a boost ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League trip to Arsenal FC after key defenders Yuriy Dmytrulin and Andriy Nesmachniy extended their contracts with the club.
The 28-year-old Dmytrulin, who is currently out of action with a chest injury, has been a regular for Dynamo since 1994 and has won eight league titles and five Ukrainian Cups. He was a mainstay of the Dynamo side that reached the Champions League semi-finals in 1998/99 and has played 55 games in Europe for the club overall. His new contract runs until 2007.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old left back Nesmachniy is a three-time Ukrainian league championship winner with two cup medals also to his name. His new contract will expire in 2008. Dynamo are currently second in Champions League Group B with six points from three matches.
