Tough draw for Dutch teams

The UEFA Cup fourth-round draw has pitted PSV Eindhoven against Leeds United AFC while Feyenoord and Roda JC also face testing ties.

PSV seek repeat
PSV would happily settle for a repeat of the sides' only previous encounter, which came in the second round of the UEFA Cup in 1995/96. Then the Dutch side were high-scoring winners, Luc Nilis netting twice in a 5-3 first-leg win in Leeds, before they claimed a 3-0 victory in the return.

LOSC face Dortmund
Lille OSC take on BV Borussia Dortmund in a meeting of two sides eliminated in the first group stage of this season's Champions League. Dortmund have won their two previous encounters with French clubs in Europe. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's prize for becoming the first Israeli club to reach the last 16 is a meeting with Italy's Parma AC.

Surprise packages
Another of the tournament's surprise packages, FC Slovan Liberec, will take on Olympique Lyonnais while last year's UEFA Champions League runners-up Valencia CF have been paired with Servette FC. The Swiss club have already overcome Spanish opposition in the form of Real Zaragoza in the second round.

Milan pair
Milan AC have been drawn with Roda JC and their neighbours Internazionale FC with AEK Athens FC. Thoughts of the draw were probably secondary in the minds of Inter officials, however, after the death on Tuesday night of the club's vice-president Giuseppe Prisco.

Past encounters
Inter have met AEK twice before and won on both occasions. In the first round of the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1971/72 they won 4-1 at home and lost 3-2 away. Then in 19886/87 in the UEFA Cup first round, the Italian club won both matches, 2-0 at home and 1-0 away.

Feyenoord face Rangers
The final pairing was of Rangers FC and Feyenoord, who will host the final in Rotterdam on 8 May. Feyenoord have won their three previous encounters with Scottish sides.

Quarter-final draw
The fourth-round draw, which took place in Nyon, was followed by the draw for the UEFA Cup quarter-finals. No seedings were used for this draw which, depending on the outcome of the fourth-round matches, could see an all-Italian meeting between Milan and Parma, an all-Dutch encounter between Feyenoord and PSV or an all-British tie between Leeds and Rangers.

Spring clashes
Matches in the UEFA Cup fourth round are scheduled to take place on 21 and 28 February 2002, with the quarter-finals following on 14 and 21 March 2002.
