Article body
Panathinaikos FC have signed Greek Under-21 international Loukas Vydra from Paniliakos FC.
Transfer fee
The young defender has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Athens club with the option of a further two years. Paniliakos will receive €200,000 for the player along with two Panathinaikos players, Giannis Chrysafis and Andreas Koutelieris.
Third signing
Vydra is Panathinaikos's third signing since the transfer window opened, following the arrivals of Elias Kotsios and Nyren Njogu Demba. "I know that I am part of a big club now and I want to celebrate many triumphs with Panathinaikos," said the player.
Friends on the move
Vydras is following to Athens his close friend Giannis Taralidis, a team-mate at both Paniliakos and, before that, Almopos Arideas, who joined Olympiacos CFP yesterday. Panathinaikos face AJ Auxerre in the UEFA Cup third round.
