Obiorah returns to Lokomotiv

FC Lokomotiv Moskva have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the resumption of the UEFA Champions League by bringing back Nigerian international striker James Obiorah.

Spanish spell
The 25-year-old has signed a two-year contract. He spent the first half of the season in Spain with Segunda División side Cádiz CF where he appeared in 16 league matches and scored twice in his last four appearances.

International experience
Obiorah left Lokomotiv last summer despite scoring against Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona in the 2002/03 UEFA Champions League. He first moved to the Russian capital in 2001, having previously played in Belgium and Switzerland.

New faces
The forward is the fourth addition to the Lokomotiv ranks in recent weeks. He joins Georgia Under-21 midfield player Roman Akhalkatsi, Lithuanian international Deividas Cesnauskis and Russia striker Dmitri Sytchev. Lokomotiv face AS Monaco FC in the Champions League first knockout round, with the first leg at home on 24 February.
