UEFA Europa League: winner 2011
• Left Envigado in his homeland of Colombia to join Boca Juniors on loan in 2005/06, but played only twice and declined a permanent transfer, preferring move to Europe, where he signed another loan deal with St-Etienne.
• Scored just one Ligue 1 goal – against Troyes AC – in 18 appearances for the Verts in 2006/07, but stayed on for a second season on a permanent contract before moving to Porto in July 2008.
• A youth international and member of the Colombia team that played in the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup, he made his senior debut in May 2006 before becoming a regular in 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying, making 11 appearances.
• A Liga winner in 2008/09 (15 substitute appearances), he scored in Porto's cup final victory against GD Chaves (2-1) the following campaign.
• Played a key role in Porto's UEFA Europa League triumph in 2010/11 by scoring in every knockout round up to and including the semi-final against Villarreal CF − the first UEFA club competition goals of his career.
