Blanc rues first-leg errors

Published: Wednesday 7 April 2010, 23.26CET
Laurent Blanc pointed to a "lack of experience" in the first leg as the reason why FC Girondins de Bordeaux were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals by Olympique Lyonnais. "Everything has been done tonight with this [1-0] win; our regrets come from the first leg," said Blanc of the 3-1 defeat at Stade de Gerland last week. "A lack of experience prompted the errors on our part away from home. We gave away two goals at least there. One goal tonight could have been good enough for us."
