Stoch joins Fenerbahçe

Slovakian international midfielder Miroslav Stoch has joined Fenerbahçe SK from Chelsea FC after playing a key role in FC Twente's Eredivisie title-winning campaign while on loan last season.

Fenerbahçe SK have signed Slovakian international midfielder Miroslav Stoch from Chelsea FC for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old spent the past season on loan at FC Twente, where he scored ten goals in 32 league games to help propel the club to the Eredivisie title. He also featured in both Twente's UEFA Europa League games against Fenerbahçe last season, impressing with pace, technique and intelligence on the ball.

Chelsea signed Stoch from FC Nitra in 2006, but he made just four Premier League appearances, all as a substitute, in his time at Stamford Bridge. Stoch has scored once in 12 appearances for Slovakia, having made his debut last February, and is part of his country's FIFA World Cup squad. Turkish runners-up Fenerbahçe begin their 2010/11 UEFA Champions League campaign in the third qualifying round while Chelsea will be in the group stage.
