Eat for Goals! now in paperback

Ever wanted to cook the same healthy recipes as the stars of the game? If so, then UEFA's children's book Eat for Goals!, now available in paperback in English, is probably for you.

Have you ever wanted to cook the same healthy recipes as the stars of the game? If so, then UEFA's children's book Eat for Goals!, which is now available in paperback in English, could be the perfect addition to your bookshelf.

A&C Black, Britain's leading publisher of scholastic and practical books on sport, health and nutrition, is launching a paperback edition of Eat for Goals!. The cookery book conceived by UEFA and the World Heart Federation, with the support of the European Commission, is aimed at children who love football and food.

Overall, no fewer than 13 internationally renowned male and female footballers have contributed to the English version of Eat for Goals!: Abbas Suwan, Birgit Prinz, Carles Puyol, Cathrine Paaske-Sørensen, Fabio Cannavaro, Frank Lampard, Heurelho Gomes, Kelly Smith, Kenny Miller, Marcos Senna, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Steven Gerrard and Yoann Gourcuff.

Through the book, the message that a healthy lifestyle is partly based on healthy food is conveyed by children's role models – a multicultural group of players who share what they love to eat and give recipes for their favourite dishes.

A detailed list of ingredients and step-by-step instructions for preparing each of the 13 meals make it easy for even the least experienced child in the kitchen to cook delicious healthy dinners. And for those wishing to know more about the relationship between a good balanced diet and performance, which is crucial to footballers, the book provides nutritional values per portion and plenty of food tips.
