• Yuto Nagatomo started at left-back as Chivu completed his four-match ban, retrospectively given for violent conduct in the win against AS Bari on 3 February.

• Inter have won nine out of nine in all competitions at San Siro since 14 November when Zlatan Ibrahimović scored the only goal as AC Milan ended Inter's 46-game unbeaten run at home in Serie A.

• Inter have won 12 of their 15 fixtures since their 3-0 defeat at SV Werder Bremen. Two came at the FIFA Club World Cup, which the Nerazzurri captured in what was Rafael Benítez's final act as coach. • The Nerazzurri lost 1-0 at Juventus on 13 February, their sixth league defeat of the campaign – two more than they suffered in the whole of last term.

• Javier Zanetti made his 520th Serie A appearance for Inter in the 3-2 win against AC Cesena on 19 January, breaking Giuseppe Bergomi's club record.

• Eto'o has scored 31 goals in 39 appearances for club and country this term.

Injury news
• Wesley Sneijder sat out Saturday's game with a minor thigh problem.

• Lúcio (out since 30 January) and Diego Milito (6 February) are sidelined with thigh problems though the former is back in full training.

• MacDonald Mariga (from 26 January) and Dejan Stanković (26 January) returned after thigh knocks on 16 February.

• Walter Samuel could miss the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments on 6 November.

• Miroslav Klose has played five games for Bayern since the end of September because of a hamstring problem.

• Robben made his first appearance of the season on 15 January after recovering from a torn left thigh muscle. A substitute, he replaced Ribéry, who picked up a knee injury that ruled him out of the next three games.

• Diego Contento has not featured since suffering a stress fracture to his spine on 22 January and Rouven Sattelmaier injured his bicep at the start of October but both are back in training.

• Ivica Olić was ruled out for six months after knee surgery on 9 November.
