• Dealbert joined Castellón's youth team and played 77 games for the club in the Segunda División B (third tier) from 2002-05; won promotion in the last of those campaigns.

• Adapted well to the higher league and spent the next four seasons in the Segunda División, making a total of 133 appearances before Valencia signed him in 2009.

• Although a deal was agreed in January, the centre-back did not move to Valencia until the following summer; made his Liga debut against Sevilla FC (2-0) in opening game of 2009/10 and went on to appear 24 times (22 starts).

• Made his UEFA Champions League debut on Matchday 6 of the 2010/11 group stage, playing the full 90 minutes in 1-1 draw against Manchester United FC at Old Trafford.
