Lisandro likely to miss the visit of Madrid

Olympique Lyonnais could host Real Madrid CF in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday without Lisandro after the striker damaged a hamstring in training.

Lisandro is a doubt for Olympique Lyonnais's UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg against Real Madrid CF at Stade de Gerland on Tuesday because of a hamstring problem.

The striker suffered the injury during training on Thursday while preparing for the Ligue 1 match against AS Nancy-Lorraine, which Lyon won 4-0, the following day. "His participation against Real [Madrid] is in doubt," said Lyon coach Claude Puel.

Voted Ligue 1 Player of the Year by his peers last season, the 27-year-old has started only 13 of the Gones' 24 top-flight matches this term due to a succession of minor injuries. He scored twice in four group stage appearances but has not registered in any competition since he struck his eighth league goal of the campaign in a 1-1 draw with Olympique de Marseille on 19 December.
