Midfielder Zoran Tošić will sit out the opening leg of PFC CSKA Moskva's UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie against FC Porto after damaging ankle ligaments in a Russian Cup game on Monday.

The 23-year-old former FK Partizan and Manchester United FC winger was taken off at half-time during Monday's 1-0 domestic cup victory over FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, with scans indicating torn ankle ligaments which will keep him sidelined for two to three weeks.

Tošić therefore misses the 6 March Russian Super Cup game against FC Zenit St Petersburg and CSKA's home first leg against Porto four days later as well as the Army Men's Russian Premier-Liga opener against FC Amkar Perm on 13 March. The Serbian international is also rated doubtful for the return match against Porto on 17 March. Tošić has played in all ten of CSKA's European fixtures this season, scoring three times.
