• Lima started out with Paysandu and spent several restless years in his homeland, playing for a variety of clubs, most of them on loan, including a spell at Santos in 2008.

• Set to join Ukrainian outfit FC Metalist Kharkiv in 2009 but the transfer broke down and he moved to Portugal instead, joining Belenenses.

• Made his Liga debut for Belenenses against SL Benfica (0-4) on 13 September 2009 and scored seven goals in 27 appearances (26 as a starter), but his haul was not enough to prevent the Lisbon club from being relegated.

• Made a stunning early impression at Braga by scoring a hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Sevilla FC that put Braga into the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time.

• Scored his first league goal for Braga in a 3-2 defeat by FC Porto and also found the net in the UEFA Champions League group stage against FK Partizan in a 2-0 home win on Matchday 3; ever-present (eight appearances) in the UEFA Europa League as the Arsenalistas reached the 2011 final in Dublin.
