• A dead-ball specialist, Parejo made five substitute outings for Madrid towards the end of the 2008/09 campaign following a loan spell in England with QPR.

• The attacking midfielder moved to nearby Getafe in July 2009 and has since made 64 top-flight appearances, scoring nine goals.

• Featured in all but one of Spain's ten qualifiers, play-offs included, contributing three goals.
