• Macedonian-born, Mehmedi made 11 appearances in his debut campaign − all from the bench − as Zürich won the 2008/09 Swiss title.

• Helped Zürich to a runners-up finish in 2010/11, a point behind FC Basel 1893, with an impressive haul of ten league goals.

• On target in the play-off first leg versus Sweden − his sole U21 qualifying outing − he made his senior international debut as a substitute in a 2-2 draw with England at Wembley in June 2011.
