• After playing for several Kyiv youth teams Nepogodov signed a contract with Olympique de Marseille but the giant goalkeeper failed to make a single official appearance for the senior team.

• Moved to Metalurh in 2008, featuring twice in his first season at the club and 14 times in 2010/11.

• Made his U21 debut against Sweden playing 45 minutes in a 1-0 defeat, and while he did not feature in qualifying for the 2011 finals, he was given another run-out in a February 2011 friendly against Switerland.
