Under-21 debut: 1-3 v France (12/10/2010)

• Jørgensen made his league debut aged 18 with Danish second-tier outfit AB, who are based in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen.

• Never played in the Danish top flight − despite interest from several Superliga clubs − as Leverkusen lured him to the Bundesliga in summer 2010 with a five-year deal.

• One of the few members of the squad with international experience at club level, having made seven appearances in Leverkusen's run to the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
