• Gained his first taste of top-flight football when he broke into the Viktoria Plzeň team as a 17-year-old in November 2007; won the Czech Cup in 2010.

• Joined U21 team-mates Ondřej Mazuch and Lukáš Mareček at Anderlecht when he moved to the Belgian club on a season-long loan in summer 2010.

• Made 30 league appearances as Anderlecht finished third, seven points behind R. Standard de Liège.
