• Made six appearances in the Czech Republic's run to the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup final in Canada, which they lost 2-1 to Argentina.

• Left for Fiorentina in summer 2007 but made only two appearances − both in the Coppa Italia − in two seasons with the Viola.

• Joined Anderlecht, initially on loan, in June 2009 and scored four league goals as the Brussels club won the title in his first season.
