• The U21 captain, Dočkal began his career with Slavia but played only six times for the club and, after several loan spells, joined Slovan Liberec in 2008.

• Started the 2010/11 season on loan to Turkish club Konyaspor but returned halfway through the campaign having made only nine league appearances.

• Dočkal was the Czech Republic’s second-top scorer in qualifying with three goals, an accolade he shared with Libor Kozák and Michael Rabušic.
