• Played for Belarus in the 2005 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Italy and also represented his country at U19 level before making the step up to the U21s.

• The midfielder has been playing regular first-team football for seven years in Belarus, for Lokomotiv Minsk then Gomel and Dinamo, the side he now captains.

• Played in eight 2011 U21 championship qualifiers, and also scored his first goals in UEFA club competition in 2010.
