• After winning his second successive Belarusian title with BATE in 2007, central defender Filipenko moved to Russia to join Spartak, but was unable to build on a promising first-season tally of 11 league appearances.

• The imposing defender made a couple of brief outings while on loan at Tom in the summer of 2009 but was able to have a more productive run in 2010, playing in 18 league games for Sibir, plus one in UEFA Europa League qualifying.

• Loaned back to BATE in 2011, he won the Belarusian Super Cup and went to the 2011 U21 finals having played in all of the qualifying games, scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory against Austria.
