Kadlec hits three as Czech Republic unpick Andorra

Czech Republic 8-0 Andorra
Václav Kadlec hit a hat-trick to ensure that the Czech Republic got their qualifying campaign off to a perfect start.

The Czech Republic got their 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign off to the perfect start with an 8-0 home win against Andorra.

It was a particularly memorable evening for Václav Kadlec, who scored a hat-trick, while Tomaš Wágner, Milan Nitrianský, Vladimír Darida, Jakub Petr and Josef Hušbauer also got in on the act to put Jakub Dovalil's side on three points, alongside four other teams in Group 3.

Kadlec, one of the surviving members of the squad that came fourth at this summer's finals in Denmark, set the tone for a routine victory after just six minutes, when he latched on to Matěj Vydra's pass. He doubled his tally from the penalty spot five minutes before half-time after Wágner had raced through to score before the quarter-hour mark.

The second-half scoring began just two minutes after the interval with the goal of the game, a blistering strike by Nitrianský from 30 metres, which was in stark contrast to Darida's close-range effort which he scrambled in after a goalmouth melee. Kadlec completed his hat-trick on 73 minutes after some dazzling wing-play by Vydra, while Petr (89) and Hušbauer, in added time, were afforded the simplest of finishes as Andorra ran out of steam.
