• Newly-crowned BATE ended their Vysshaya Liga campaign with a nine-game unbeaten run, six of them draws.

• Goalkeeper Andrei Scherbakov made his league debut in an experimental lineup.

• BATE sealed their sixth consecutive Belarusian title, and eighth overall, by beating FC Torpedo Zhodino 4-2 on 23 October. Vadim Kurlovich, 18, made his first league start for the club, and retained his place on Thursday.

• Viktor Goncharenko's team kept 18 clean sheets in 30 league matches this season.

• BATE's 16-game unbeaten sequence at home in all competitions ended when they were defeated 5-0 by FC Barcelona on matchday two but they did not lose on their own turf in the Belarusian top flight in 2011.

• Yegor Filipenko could miss the rest of the group stage after injuring his back in Belarus's draw with Romania on 7 October.

• Vitali Rodionov may be out of action until at least April after rupturing knee ligaments in a collision as he scored against FC Dinamo Minsk on 28 August.

• Evgeni Kuntsevich underwent knee surgery in July and has been ruled out until the new year.

• Aleksandr Pavlov, out with torn adductors since 29 July, returned to action on matchday three.

• Zlatan Ibrahimović's goal on matchday three was Milan's 200th in the UEFA Champions League, group stage to final. They have conceded 199 in the European Cup.

• Alessandro Nesta's goal was his first in Serie A since a 3-0 win at Juventus on 10 January 2010.

• Kevin-Prince Boateng was sent off from the substitutes' bench immediately after being replaced. Coach Massimiliano Allegri was dismissed later in the game.

• Milan have won five successive games in all competitions, scoring 16 in the process.

• The Rossoneri recovered from 3-0 down to beat US Lecce 4-3 on 23 October. A 14-minute hat-trick from substitute Boateng and a Mario Yepes effort – his first goal for the club – completed the comeback.

• Boateng had never scored more than once in a game prior to the Lecce match. With a hat-trick in his third league appearance of the season he equalled his 2010/11 haul of three goals from 26 Serie A games.

• Three days later Antonio Nocerino scored his maiden hat-trick as Milan beat Parma FC 4-1 at San Siro.

• The Rossoneri are 15 league matches unbeaten at San Siro, since a 1-0 defeat by AS Roma on 18 December 2010.

• Milan's haul of one win and two draws from their first five league games represented the worst start to a Serie A defence since SSC Napoli in 1990/91.

• Clarence Seedorf's goal in the 1-0 win against AC Cesena on 24 September meant the 35-year-old has now scored in each of his 20 campaigns as a professional.

Injury news
• Antonio Cassano was admitted to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell on the flight back to Milan on Saturday evening. The forward spent Saturday and Sunday night under observation.

• Philippe Mexès, out with a knee problem since 3 April, made his comeback as a late substitute on matchday three but missed the Roma game with a broken hand.

• Luca Antonini has missed Milan's last two games with a twisted left ankle.

• Gattuso has been diagnosed with sixth nerve palsy, a disorder associated with the dysfunction of the cranial nerve that controls eye movement. He has not played since the opening day of the season.

• Seedorf has not featured since injuring a knee in training on 14 October.

• Pato has resumed training following a right thigh problem that has kept him out since 21 September.

• Thiago Silva returned against Parma following a two-match lay-off with a left leg knock.

• Mathieu Flamini will miss the group stage after damaging knee ligaments in a 2-1 friendly win against Juventus on 21 August.

• Milan wore black armbands against Lecce as a mark of respect for MotoGP rider Marco Simoncelli, a Rossoneri fan, who died at the Malaysian Grand Prix on 23 October.
