• Ederson scored his first goal of the season as Lyon suffered their second loss in 26 home matches – the other came against Real Madrid CF on matchday four.

• Rémi Garde's team have kept only four clean sheets in 21 games in all competitions this season.

• Lyon lost 2-1 at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on 6 November, their fourth successive away league defeat. That represents their worst sequence since a similar run betwen January and March 2000.

• Lyon will host LOSC Lille Métropole in the French League Cup quarter-finals on 10/11 January.

Injury news
• Lisandro (ankle, out since 27 August), Clément Grenier (hamstring, 15 October) and Michel Bastos (hamstring, 26 October) returned to action as second-half substitutes on Friday. Maxime Gonalons was rested against Rennes after returning from international duty with a calf knock.

• Dejan Lovren has not played since going off with a twisted knee before half-time on matchday four, ruling him out of Croatia's UEFA EURO 2012 play-off against Turkey.

• Aly Cissokho, who missed matchday four with a hamstring injury, scored an own goal on his return at Sochaux.

• Goalkeeper Rémy Vercoutre will be out of action until the new year after rupturing tendons in his right foot at home on 27 October. Anthony Lopes was ruled out for three months after undergoing surgery on a broken right fibula and torn ankle ligament on 29 September.

• John Mensah (calf) has not played since 11 October while Jérémy Pied has resumed training after suffering an ankle knock on 8 October.

• Yannis Tafer has been out of action since breaking a foot at this summer's FIFA U-20 World Cup.

International duty
• Gonalons made his international debut on 11 November as a France side captained by Hugo Lloris defeated the United States 1-0. Four days later Lloris, Gonalons and Anthony Réveillère featured in a 0-0 draw with Belgium.

• Alexandre Lacazette scored as France beat Romania 3-0 in UEFA European U21 Championship qualifying.

Miscellaneous
• Lyon have signed keeper Matthieu Valverde, released by Toulouse FC in the summer, until the end of the season.

• Miralem Sulejmani's goal took his Eredivisie tally for the season to seven – only one fewer than last term – as Ajax were held to a fourth successive home league draw.

• Ajax have won one of their last eight Eredivisie games, keeping a solitary clean sheet in 21 matches in domestic competition.

• Ajax struck four goals for the fourth successive game on 6 November, yet their three-match winning run ended with 6-4 defeat at FC Utrecht – only the seventh time the Amsterdam outfit have conceded six or more.

• André Ooijer scored his first goal in over a year against Utrecht.

• That defeat left Ajax with 20 points in 12 Eredivisie outings this season, their worst start to a campaign since an identical opening to 1996/97 under Louis van Gaal. Then title holders, they went on to finish fourth.

• Frank de Boer's team will host AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup round of 16 on 21 December.

• Ajax started their season with a 2-1 defeat by FC Twente in the Dutch Super Cup at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Injury news
• Dimitri Bulykin went off with an injury before the half-hour mark on Saturday, while Thulani Serero made his comeback from a stomach muscle problem.

• Siem de Jong (torn thigh muscle) and Theo Janssen (strained hamstring) picked up injuries against Utrecht. Though De Jong has been ruled out of matchday five, Janssen returned against NAC.

• Ooijer sustained a hamstring injury during training on 15 November and was ruled out for a fortnight.

• Kolbeinn Sigthórsson is out for the rest of the year after sustaining an ankle injury on 2 October.

• Nicolai Boilesen has not played since tearing a hamstring on 18 September.

• Bruno Silva dislocated a shoulder last winter and is not in Ajax's UEFA Champions League squad.

International duty
• Eyong Enoh opened the scoring as Cameroon beat Sudan 3-1 in a friendly on 11 November.

• Gregory van der Wiel was in the Netherlands side that lost 3-0 to Germany on 15 November, the Oranje's heaviest defeat in 15 years.

• Christian Eriksen (Denmark 2-0 Sweden, Denmark 2-1 Finland), Jan Vertonghen (Belgium 2-1 Romania) and Toby Alderweireld (France 0-0 Belgium) were also in friendly action.

Miscellaneous
• De Boer, capped 112 times, received a UEFA award before the Netherlands' friendly against Switzerland on 11 November to commemorate players who have made a century or more of appearances for their national team.

• Eriksen was named Danish Footballer of the Year on 7 November; Boilesen won the young player honour.
