Chelsea a class apart, says Genk's Been

Mario Been admitted Chelsea FC were on a different level as KRC Genk went down 5-0 in London, allowing André Villas-Boas to set his sights set on earning ten points in Group E.

André Villas-Boas, Chelsea manager
The performance was nothing to do with the goals. It was a very good display by the team, and a very concentrated performance. As we said before it is very important in a game of this size to keep focus. We kept the rhythm high after the early goals and upped the tempo in last 20 minutes.

We hope we can now go to Genk with confidence and get the ten points which we will make us very happy

We hope we can now go to Genk with confidence and get the ten points which we will make us very happy. We were happy, playing with confidence which showed in the good football we played to bring a good result. Fernando Torres got into good goalscoring positions but it is not important that he did not get a hat-trick. It is not an individual objective but a collective objective to get the points.

Mario Been, Genk coach
I obviously feel disappointed. This Chelsea team is from a totally different level from where we are. You have to be honest and admit that. It is a shame we missed too many players, especially in central defence. All the goals came through the centre, where we were just not positioned well enough. That has to do with guys who are not used to playing with each other and players who are not used to playing in that position.

It was a shame we went behind early and that within ten minutes we were 2-0 down. Then you can only fear the worse. Luckily it was 'only' 4-0 at half-time. The second half we did a lot better. These are learning moments. We have to be more mature if we ever want to get to this level, if that is at all possible.
