France and Paris Saint-Germain FC striker Guillaume Hoarau has been ruled out for two months after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder.

The shoulder problem, which has hindered the 27-year-old for a number of months, prompted his withdrawal last week from the France squad preparing for UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers against Albania and Romania.

As well as missing Les Bleus' remaining Group D matches, Hoarau is expected to sit out PSG's first four games in a UEFA Europa League section containing ŠK Slovan Bratislava, FC Salzburg and Athletic Club. The former Le Havre AC forward has made three appearances this season for his club.
