While FC Zenit St Petersburg are usefully placed in UEFA Champions League Group G, a point off the lead after beating FC Porto, PFC CSKA Moskva are bottom of Group B.

Former Russian international Dmitri Alenichev knows all about the challenge of the competition, having won the trophy with Porto in 2004 after helping FC Spartak Moskva reach the quarter-finals eight years earlier. Now Russia Under-19 coach, Alenichev gives his thought on his nation's challenge in this season's competition, telling UEFA.com that Zenit are close to being a real force and that CSKA "could make quite a bit of noise in Europe this year".
