Stocker banks on Basel stars' experience

FC Basel 1893 midfielder Valentin Stocker hopes the experience of Alexander Frei, Benjamin Huggel and Marco Streller can see his side through their decider at FC Bayern München.

FC Basel 1893's young Swiss international midfielder Valentin Stocker is grateful for the experience of team-mates Alexander Frei, Benjamin Huggel and Marco Streller as his side take a 1-0 lead into the German leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against FC Bayern München. "If they weren't there then things wouldn't be going as they are," the 22-year-old, who scored the only goal of the first leg, told UEFA.com. "They have learned a lot in their careers and they have accompanied me since I was a boy playing in the youth teams. I have a special relationship with all three of them."
