Matchday nine - Ups and Downs

We have got four of the highlights from this week's UEFA Champions League action vying for your vote, including a great turn of pace, a neat one-two and an innovative free-kick.

Fernando Torres (SL Benfica 0-1 Chelsea FC)
75th minute
The Spanish international may not be getting any lucky breaks in front of goal to improve his UEFA Champions League record, but he laid on the winner for Salomon Kalou. A quick turn of pace saw Torres breeze past Emerson and deliver an excellent pass for Kalou to finish with ease.

Kaká (APOEL FC 0-3 Real Madrid CF)
82nd minute
With Real Madrid struggling to break through a stubborn APOEL defence, José Mourinho turned to Marcelo and Kaká. Not only did the 29-year-old midfielder supply the cross for Karim Benzema's opener, but he gave his side a great chance of reaching the semi-finals with a calm finish from close range after superb work down the right from Marcelo.

Arjen Robben (Olympique de Marseille 0-2 FC Bayern München)
69th minute
The Dutch international was a constant menace for the Marseille defence and left his mark on the match by playing a neat one-two with Thomas Müller inside the penalty area and finishing with aplomb to score his eighth goal in six games in all competitions.

Xavi Hernández (AC Milan 0-0 FC Barcelona)
16th minute
Barcelona struggled to find a way through Milan's tight defence, although a brilliant piece of imagination nearly gave them an early lead. Feigning to strike a free-kick from 30 metres, Xavi instead fired it in for Sergio Busquets to turn the ball round the corner for Alexis Sánchez, who broke off the end of the wall only to lose his balance at the crucial moment.
