The UEFA Training Ground has been relaunched with new features and a fresh design making the user experience of Europe's leading grassroots website more accessible than ever.
Originally launched in 2007, the UEFA Training Ground section of UEFA.com offers the opportunity for youngsters to learn skills to develop their game from top players such as Xavi Hernández, Philipp Lahm and Sara Thunebro. It is also a one-stop resource for coaches, referees and supporters of grassroots football within UEFA's 53 member associations.
The new design of the section gives users an enhanced navigational experience, with increased emphasis on the collection of over 400 videos provided by a new video hub layout, making it easier to see the latest videos as well as selected featured ones. For the first time skills guides are now compartmentalised together in a new Skills section, while Coaches brings together all relevant content including drills, formations and tactical dilemmas. The new-look UEFA Training Ground also has a special section devoted to its women's football content.
In addition, real-time football management game You're the Boss is now available in nine languages, enabling even more people from across Europe to test their coaching skills against other budding Josep Guardiolas and Sir Alex Fergusons. The days of forgetting to change your team lineup and tactics before a game will also be over thanks to a new reminder email feature which is coming soon.
Moreover, UEFA Training Ground coaching tool TactX is available too in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. The application, allowing coaches to tailor their own training drills and analyse previous performances using state-of-the-art 3D graphics, has proved popular with coaches of all levels since its launch.
You can also test your knowledge of European football with an updated version of Top Trumps. Play against friends and try to guess which of UEFA's 53 member associations has the highest international caps winner or team with the most domestic league titles.
