In the latest instalment, former England international and EURO '96 top scorer Alan Shearer praises Joe Hart and expects Theo Walcott to deliver as he names his own starting XI.

Throughout UEFA EURO 2012, UEFA.com will be talking to some of the most famous football names from the participating nations, asking who would make their starting XIs if they took charge of their national sides.

In the latest instalment of our series, former England international and EURO '96 top scorer Alan Shearer steps into Roy Hodgson's shoes. A striker for Southampton FC, Blackburn Rovers FC and Newcastle United FC, Shearer hit 30 goals in 63 appearances for his country. He explained that in Joe Hart, England have one of the world's most reliable goalkeepers while he expects Theo Walcott to realise his potential.
