Nounkeu and Umut sign up for Galatasaray

Nounkeu and Umut sign up for Galatasaray

Galatasaray AŞ have signed defender Dany Nounkeu from Gaziantepspor and struck a deal with Toulouse FC to bring in Turkey forward Umut Bulut on a one-year loan.

Turkish champions Galatasaray AŞ have signed Cameroonian defender Dany Nounkeu from Gaziantepspor, and loaned Turkey forward Umut Bulut from Toulouse FC with a view to a permanent move.

The 26-year-old Nounkeu will cost the Istanbul club a reported €3.3m. having impressed in two seasons in southeastern Anatolia at Gaziantepspor. The solid, pacy defender had previously played in France with CSO Amnéville, Pau FC and Toulouse, and has made six senior appearances for Cameroon.

Umut, meanwhile, has joined Galatasaray on a 12-month loan having left Trabzonspor AŞ for Toulouse last summer. The mobile 29-year-old, capped 13 times by Turkey, scored five goals in 31 Ligue 1 games in his only season in France. Galatasaray enter the UEFA Champions League in the group stage.
