Dynamo add midfielder Raffael

FC Dynamo Kyiv have made Raffael their fifth summer signing, the midfielder joining the UEFA Champions League contenders on a three-year deal from Hertha BSC Berlin.

FC Dynamo Kyiv have continued to strengthen ahead of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round by signing midfielder Raffael from relegated Bundesliga side Hertha BSC Berlin.

The Brazilian, 27, penned a three-year contract after passing a medical in the Ukrainian capital on Friday morning. He totalled more than 100 league games in four and a half seasons for Hertha having joined from FC Zürich midway through the 2007/08 campaign.

Raffael is Dynamo's fifth summer signing after fellow midfielders Miguel Veloso, Niko Kranjčar, Andriy Bogdanov and forward Marco Ruben. Having won their first two Ukrainian Premier League fixtures this season, Dynamo open their European campaign at home to Feyenoord on Tuesday.
