• Götze scored Germany's opener in a 3-0 win against the Faroe Islands in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on 7 September. Four days later Reus broke the deadlock in a 2-1 victory over Austria.

• Błaszczykowski converted penalties in Poland's World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro (2-2, 7 September) and Moldova (2-0, 11 September).

• Perišić scored Croatia's goal in their 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw in Belgium on 11 September.

• Moritz Leitner scored in Germany's UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Belarus (3-0) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (4-4). Germany will face Switzerland in next month's play-offs.

• Moisander captained Finland in their 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying defeat by France on 7 September and the 1-0 friendly win against the Czech Republic four days later.

• Van Rhijn, who made his international debut in August, played in the Oranje's qualifying wins against Turkey (2-0) and Hungary (4-1).

• Miralem Sulejmani came off the bench to complete the scoring in Serbia's 6-1 qualifying triumph over Wales.
