Match facts: Málaga v Anderlecht

Málaga

UEFA Champions League statistics
• Málaga were the fourth debutants to win their first three games in the UEFA Champions League, after AC Milan (1992/93), Paris Saint-Germain FC (1994/95) and Juventus (1995/96).

• Málaga conceded their first goal of the group stage in Milan on matchday four; it was also the first time their defence had been breached in Europe this season in their sixth outing. The Spanish side have conceded just ten goals in 23 fixtures in UEFA competition.

• Willy, Ignacio Camacho and Eliseu have played every minute of Málaga's group campaign.

• Manuel Iturra is available after serving a one-game ban on matchday five. Martín Demichelis collected his third yellow card of the group stage last time out and so misses the fixture; Weligton and Sergio Sánchez will incur a suspension with their next bookings.

Miscellaneous
• Málaga were defeated 1-0 at Getafe CF on Saturday, consigning them to their first back-to-back losses this season.

• Manuel Pellegrini's team progressed on away goals after a 1-0 home defeat by third-tier CP Cacereño on 27 November meant their Copa del Rey round of 32 tie finished 4-4. They will play Athletic Club or SD Eibar in the last 16.

• Málaga ended a five-game winless run in all competitions – their worst sequence since December/January –with a 4-0 home victory against Valencia CF on 24 November. It was the third time they have scored four this season.

• Isco received his award for the Liga's 2011/12 breakthrough player of the year on 13 November.

• Júlio Baptista, out of action for more than a year because of an Achilles problem, is back in training.

• Club Atlético de Madrid ended Málaga's 11-game unbeaten run with a 2-1 win on 7 October. Ten matches came this term, representing the Andalusian side's longest undefeated start to a top-flight season since 2002/03.

• Aged 16 years and 98 days, Fabrice became the youngest scorer in Liga history when he struck the only goal against RC Celta de Vigo on 18 August.

Anderlecht

UEFA Champions League statistics
• Anderlecht's matchday four defeat of FC Zenit St Petersburg was their first win in ten group stage games, since Vincent Kompany earned a 1-0 victory at Real Betis Balompié on 6 December 2005 to end a record run of 12 group stage losses.

• It also marked Anderlecht's first group stage success at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in almost nine years, since Hannu Tihinen scored the only goal against Olympique Lyonnais on 25 November 2003.

• This is Anderlecht's 350th game in UEFA competition; they have conceded 445 goals.

• Goalkeeper Silvio Proto is the only player to have featured in all 810 minutes of Anderlecht's campaign. Lucas Biglia and Guillaume Gillet have played all 450 minutes in the group stage.

• Anderlecht have scored 49 UEFA Champions League goals, group stage to final.

• Bram Nuytinck is suspended following his red card on matchday five; Gillet is within a booking of a ban.

Miscellaneous
• Ronald Vargas scored his first goal for the club – a 90th-minute winner – as Anderlecht came from behind to win 2-1 against Cercle Brugge KSV.

• Lucas Biglia was also on target, his third league goal of the season surpassing anything he has managed before.

• Anderlecht are through to the Belgian Cup quarter-finals following a 2-0 victory after extra time against KV Mechelen on 27 November.

• Osama Hawsawi, who joined Anderlecht in the summer, left the club on 21 November on a permanent transfer to Al-Ahli SC in his native Saudi Arabia. The previous day, Massimo Bruno, 19, signed a five-year contract extension.

• Matías Suárez, Belgian Player of the Year last season, is not in Anderlecht's UEFA Champions League squad after being ruled out until late 2012 following knee surgery.
