The schedule for the UEFA Women's EURO 2013 play-offs has been set with both Scotland and Iceland to host their home legs at their national stadiums.

Scotland, who are hoping to qualify for the first time, will welcome another side that lost in the 2009 play-offs – Spain – to Hampden Park in Glasgow on Saturday 20 Saturday. Two teams that qualified through two-legged ties four years ago, Iceland and Ukraine, meet in Sevastopol on the same day. The following day Austria, in their first-ever play-off, host the side that knocked out Scotland at this stage last time, Russia, in St Polten.

On the Wednesday, the first tie to be resolved will be at Las Rozas near Madrid when Spain face Scotland. The following day Russia hope to get past Austria in Rostov and Iceland meet Ukraine at their regular base, the national Laugardalsvöllur stadium in Reykjavik, where four years ago they defeated the Republic of Ireland to qualify for the first time.

These play-offs will decide the remaining three berths in the final tournament from 10-28 July 2013 in Sweden. Already qualified, alongside the hosts, are holders Germany, France, England, Norway, Italy, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands – who avoided the play-offs as best runners-up. The finals draw is in Gothenburg on 9 November.
