Borussia Dortmund

• Played a big part in helping Borussia Dortmund to a German domestic double in 2011/12, forming a productive Polish trident with right-back Łukasz Piszczek and striker Robert Lewandowski; set up two goals in the German Cup final triumph over FC Bayern München (5-2).

• Captained Poland with distinction on home soil at UEFA EURO 2012 and scored a stunning equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Russia in Warsaw, for which he was named man of the match.

• Signed a new four-year contract with Dortmund and enjoyed a fruitful September in front of goal, scoring three times for the Schwarzgelben in the Bundesliga and adding one goal apiece in Poland's first two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
